Need help choosing next processor...

I am looking at a new computer build in the next week or 2. The computer will be a high end gaming rig and I am looking at water cooling. Through reviews and benchmarks I have so far been looking at the intel Core i5-4670K Haswell or the Xeon E3-1230 V2 Ivy Bridge. The latter is a server processor not overclock friendly but rates a good deal higher on benchmarks for the same price range. I do not typically overclock my CPU but I like the option to. Any opinions on these 2 which would be better? Or any other processors for around the $220-$240 range?

Depends if you want to go LGA 1150 or 1155. You'd need a different board between your choices...

I'd probably go with the 4670 for future expandability.
Das Rig, Ja?

Yeah I have been looking at the different boards. I usually build with that in mind but in my last 3 personal builds I generally just end up replacing the whole PC when it gets time to upgrade... My last computer I have stretched out for the last 5 years so I am kind of looking at upgradeability but may not be a huge factor for me.
