Best Cube MicroATX Cases?!?!

So since it seems impossible to find the Xigmatek Gigas case in black (I'm considering the silver too but haven't settled on it yet) for a decent price these days, can someone recommend me another cube micro-atx case that is similar to it?

I'm aware of the Lian-Li PC-V351B and the Fractal Node but I'm not crazy about either of them. What drew me to the Gigas was it's style. I like simple yet streamlined look of the aluminum and I don't see many cases like that right now. I don't want a case that has a "plastic" look to the exterior.

I'd really appreciate some suggestions. Thanks thumb.gif.

You can take a look at the CM HAF XB. There's also the upcoming HAF XB EVO which has support for more 3.5" drives, has better fans, and front intake dust filters. It may be a bit big for you, since it can fit a standard ATX case (and eATX with slight modification), but is a great all-rounder.

Yea I don't need much room inside for internals as I'm only going to be using 1-2 SSD's and nothing more. The CM HAF XB I've looked at but it's got a little too much going on on the outside of the case for my taste. Too busy looking.

Oh, just noticed you didn't want that plastic-esque look. My bad.

There's also the Bitfenix Prodigy-M. Same dimensions as the Prodigy, but can accomodate MicroATX. It's not a cube case, but I'm just throwing it out there. Cable management may be a problem though. According to the press release, it's supposed to be released some time in October.

Now, the only case that that I can think of that fits all of your requirements, and then some, is the Caselabs Mercury S5. Better than the gigas in every aspect, but you're going to pay $260+ to get it properly set up. On the upside, it'll probably be the last MicroATX case you'll buy.

Thanks for taking the time to post that suggestion. I actually really do like the Bitfenix Prodigy (used it for a build a few months ago). I'm just not sure it's right for this build as I'm probably going to need to stack two of whichever case I buy on top of each other.

i love my bitfenix prodigy, but i could never go with the -m model. sure, it would be nice to be able to run sli/xfire, but i would think dual gpu temps in a case that small would be horrible. i don't want to even get into the cable management aspect. where do the drives even mount? looks like a total of 1 fan mounting location. is a loop possible? i look forward to reviews on this case.

I hear your concerns but I won't even be using a GPU in this build. This case is for a VM server that will have nothing but 1-2 SSD's in addition to the main components. Only add on cart might be an add-on NIC and an HBA.
