Thanks so much for the help guys.

Is that Cooler Master decent? That would be my choice out of those 3.

Thanks.

Wattage and 80 plus has nothing to do with quality

Quality not quantity i rather have a good 80 plus broze rated unit then a crappy 80 plus gold unit

So yes its even worse then the CX

Ah, I see, thanks for the clarification! Good to know that the CX is CWT but use CapXon capacitors on the secondary side.

OP, why don't you look at some of the OCN marketplace deals? I saw a TX-650 for $40-something not too long ago. Personally, I think it's absolutely important to invest in a great power supply, since it's probably the single-most important component in your computer. Many people skimp on it, and end up paying dearly when something goes wrong. I know some of the prices seem steep for a good PSU, but after using my Corsair TX-750 rev.1 for 4+ years without incident, I believe it's totally worth it.

^ABSOLUTELY true. It goes without saying that people should identify the underlying circuitry before they buy a power supply, especially with so many rebadged units in the picture nowadays.

Bah, decided to just use the 600B in the time being until another good deal on a better power supply comes along.

I really dislike purchasing over the forums (bad experience) and prefer to purchase off of Craigslist or a retailer.

Anywho, the system powered up just fine. I don't have a keyboard and mouse at the moment so I wasn't able to do much. Hope the power supply lasts a few weeks!

Thanks again for everyone that contributed in the thread. Lots of great info thumb.gif.
