Which one?

Guys and girls,

I'm getting a new machine in 2 weeks (getting a new computer over getting my car wackosmiley.gif) and I need to get a PSU

XFX P1-850B-BEFX ProSeries ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Gold 850W £115.36

Cooler Master RS-850-SPHA-D3 Silent Pro Hybrid ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Gold 850W £119.82

Corsair RM850 RM ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Gold 850W £123.74

NZXT HALE90-850-M HALE 90 ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Gold 850W £136.62

Corsair AX860i ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Platinum 860W £148.63

Silverstone ST85F-G Strider Gold ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Gold 850W £158.39

SeaSonic Platinum-860 Platinum ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Platinum 860W £186.99

Those are my choices, I'm throwing in a 4570k and 2 x 7970Ghz editions. I know what you're gonna say "Oh the new cards are coming out just round the corner) however that being said I can get 2 excellent GPU's which will perform nearly as well as the R9-280x which is going to cost a lot more.

I was leaning toward the Corsair 860i.

It's also an extra £40... Is it worth it in the long run?

For the price, the thing that stands out from the pack is the XFX. It's a Seasonic-built KM3 unit, the design that they've been taking over the world with (though a company or two can rival or pass it in certain areas) for the last year.

The others range from somewhat worse (still good) to around the same tier of quality, so they're various levels of overpriced compared to the XFX.

Fair enough, I think i'll go XFX in that case... I quite like corsair, borderline fanboi.... But I'll take heed and thanks for the help biggrin.gif

The NZXT HALE is that a V1 or V2

If its a V1 then its a Super Flower Golden Green

If its a V2 then its a FSP unit
