Just gave my stock crossfired 290x's a go on my Sony 4k tv. Was quite surprised!!! Comparing to my tri sli titans i was getting the same frames and less lag. (notably less lag!)

Pretty consistent around the 45 to 58 fps mark. It was only 7 to 8 minutes of gaming though. But for 30hz it was very playable and cant wait till hdmi 2.0 comes out on a gpu or maybe a 2014 4k tv with DP.

Here is a 1080p gameplay video.

Can you give a better description of what "less lag" means?

Well 4k battlefield was actually playable on my Sony TV with the AMD 290x's where as I tried everything with the Titans and could not get any settings up and going that made it playable. The input lag was immense. Maybe its the whole AMD and BF4??? My 3rd 290x arrives tomorrow. I almost bought the Panasonic wt600 today but I was able to hold out. I knew I would kick myself if something awesome gets announced at CES 2014. Also I would like a 55" 4k panel so hopling we see more in the size. My Xmas is the 7th to 10th of Jan LOL

But you'll have to get a new video card too right? I mean it's not like current gen video cards can support 4K@60hz through HDMI.

So AMD and Nvidia can update to HDMI 2.0 with only drivers or we have to wait for new cards?

I don't think, they need much faster clocked hdmi controllers to support the bandwidth for HDMI 2.0. Right now only certain Sony Bravia 4K TVs had overbuilt controllers that can be upgraded via firmware to HDMI 2.0.

Its sad really that we don't have 4K in PC considering 1600p was supported full in PC since 7800GT/X1800XT. Thats back in 2005. Only 9 year ago and since then we have not moved one inch.
