What's your favorite email client?

Since the latest version of Thunderbird is horrendously buggy, I'm looking for a new application to check email. Was wondering if anyone has a recommendation.

Why don't you use the previous version then?

I'm currently using Postbox (which is an actively developed distro of Thunderbird). It only cost $10, my trial actually ends today and I will probably buy it. It's probably going to be your best bet if you plan on using IMAP.

I also own Outlook 2013 and it is horrendous for IMAP. If you use POP3 it'll work fine (but really you shouldn't be using POP3 nowadays). Or if you use a Microsoft email it will work great. It seems like they purposely make IMAP a mess to promote their own solutions (exchange server).

So as it stands I use both, Postbox for my work email (which uses IMAP) and Outlook for my personal Microsoft email account.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. I use IMAP.

The 2 problems I have with it are:

1) Even if you disable the "adaptive junk filters," they still run anyway. I get an email at the same time every day from the same address with the same content, it's a work email listing out different departments and telling me if there are any issues, etc usually there aren't so the emails are all exactly the same - therefore, Thunderbird has decided that these important work emails are junk and just deletes them all before I can read them. I've disabled all of the junk features and it still happens.

2) Even if you disable auto-opening of attachments, it ignores this for images and automatically opens them anyway when you view a message. I'm sure everyone on this forum knows how dangerous that is.

So I'm basically looking for something exactly the same as Thunderbird but without these 2 issues.
