It seems like there's some serious resistance among the SSD makers to really bury the knife in the HDD industry. Samsung's the closest to making a token effort, but c'mon... high-performance 500GB for $100... tongue.gif

its 2013 and they are still only offering 8GB MLC cache. would have expected atlest 32GB cache by now or atlest 16GB. i'm semi worried about write endurance of the cache


the first generation 750GB 2.5" hybrids are far better on the cache department with 8GB SLC

The OS boot times looked pretty good. All in all I think saving up for a SSD and continuing on with and old jbod system would be best.
