I built my first gaming pc back in february of this year and decided to get the 8350 vishera. I did not run any hardware stability tests or anything like that upon building it due to lack of knowledge. I now want to dip my toes into the overclocking waters and got prime 95 and 3dmark to run tests (rig is not oc'd atm). In prime 95, 1-2 cores seem to fail within the first 5 minutes due to a rounding error, or an illegal sumout. Every other core runs fine butseems to be mainly on 3 cores. Some say that it is due to a lack of voltage when overclocking and this is what causes instability. Im going to be attempting my first overclock soon, but atm it's not overclocked. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else before, and is this anything to be really concerned about?
