For Sale:
Sabertooth 990FX and Samsung RAM

Will Ship To: US50

Selling these as I have upgraded to a Crosshair motherboard and Trident X RAM for aesthetic reasons.

Asus Sabertooth R2.0 990FX Newegg link
Asking $145 $138 shipped (Newegg open box is over $160 shipped when they are in stock) Sold!

Motherboard works flawlessly and has no problem running my 8350 at 5 GHz. It will come with the stock AMD backplate and mounting brackets, rear I/O shield, SATA cables, Q-connector, SLi bridge and users manual. Does not come with software disk or original box.

Notes:
- Board was an open box item when it was purchased late last year.
- Southbridge heatsink has a small scratch (it came that way). Not noticeable when it is in a case.
- About 4 years of the 5-year warranty left. Asus warranty is by serial number.

Samsung Green DDR3 2x4GB RAM Newegg link
Asking $70 shipped (Ebay and appraisal threads are usually at $90) Sold!

It's the Samsung "Wonder RAM"! Daily overclock and memtest stable 2133 MHz with 9-10-10 at 1.54v

Notes:
- RAM wasn't abused: never ran over 1.6v
- Overclocking was done on an AMD 990FX motherboard: Intel platforms may need additional voltage.

Quote:
I ship via USPS Priority Mail, with tracking and uninsured. I'm happy to ship with different options or carriers, as long as you pay the difference.

I accept Paypal or Amazon Payments. Credit card payments are only accepted from buyers with significant feedback.

I make every effort to represent the item(s) as truthfully and accurately as possible. All sales are final, but if you receive something that is substantially different than described or pictured, I promise to rectify the situation.

Not sure how buying on here works just join, but im very interested in the MOBO.
I'm currently running an ASrock 990fx extreme3, what are the differences? I know that's a dumb question but I'm kind of a noob, I'm talking overclocking wise. I have an 8350 also.
Did you watercool to get to 5mhz?
How long was this MOBO used? (on 24/7 or gaming etc?)
Are you listed on Ebay?

p.s. I may be able to do pickup since im in Tacoma, WA

I will read rules and edit this post accordingly

-Thanks!!!

With motherboards, you get what you pay for. From an overclocking standpoint, the high-end 990fx boards (like the Sabertooth) will have better VRMs, which means cleaner, more stable power delivery to the CPU and RAM. They will also have more settings to tweak in the UEFI (BIOS) to fine-tune and stabilize high overclocks. There are a bunch of other features and improvements but it would take me too long to list them all.

I have water cooling (custom loop) which allowed me to hit 5 GHz. Coolers like the H100, Kraken x60 or H220 can hit about 4.8 GHz... possibly more with this cold weather.

I purchased the motherboard late last year and have taken good care of it: I had a fan cooling the VRMs and always used sane voltages. I work full time so my PC is only on in the evenings and weekends. I'm not listed on Ebay.

If you are interested in buying, send me a PM (stands for Private Message. Hover your cursor over my user name and click "Send PM"). There we can discuss pricing, delivery and payment methods. smile.gif
