As for the rest, i suspect the 750ti will launch at $189.99. Question is, will it be faster than the 270X? I can see a gtx770 price drop on the horizon to make room for a cut down GK110 sku. Well, finally we get a price war so I guess that's a good thing for the consumers.
you are right. this rumour was started by gibbo from overclockers uk. Its very clear that R9 270X is a slightly higher clocked HD 7870 at 1050 mhz core and 5600 mhz memory. R9 280X and R9 280 are based on Tahiti and HD 7970 and HD 7950 replacements. R9 280X seems to be clocked at 1000 mhz core and 6000 Mhz memory and priced at USD 300 . I think R9 280 should be clocked at 925 mhz and priced at USD 240 - 250
You can see R9 280X BIOS name the chip as Tahiti XTL B0 which is a tweaked Tahiti . While R9 270X is called Curacao XT, which is a tweaked Pitcairn.
After all the chips are launched and prices settle this is how it will look
R9 270X - GTX 750 Ti - USD 200
R9 280 - GTX 760 - USD 250
R9 280X - GTX 760 Ti (GTX 670 with slightly higher clocks) - USD 300
GTX 770 - USD 350
R9 290 - GTX 770 Ti - USD 450
R9 290X - GTX 780 - USD 600
GTX 785 (2880 sp) - USD 750Edited by raghu78 - 10/5/13 at 8:41pm
