[DSO] AMD Aims To Give OpenGL A Big Boost, “API Won’t Be The Bottleneck” - Page 8

To bad they ignored OpenGL. until now.
OpenGL was always ahead of Direct X in visuals ,but was always treated as Cinderella ,so Microsoft to grow on the Direct X stuff.
I want to see the big boost as Nvidia was always better in this.

AMD knows this the best in the CPU business and they have managed quite well as underdog smile.gif

They want to do the same ,and why not try.
On the other hand 3DFX got killed due to this proprietary API approach.
Same happened to Creative extraordinary EAX.
