Opteron 165

Thread Starter
I got a budget build for christmas 1gb ocz ram DFI mobo and wow...

I got my 165(CCBE 610 DPMW) to 2.89 with a few hours of priming and I must say wow I love this thing, my sig rig's 4800 could barely get to 2.7 with Overvolt and I havent even changed the vcore on the 165(heat issues Im worried of going up atall)
Im shocked, thinking of selling the 4800+ in the sig rig and getting another 165 and OCing it.

yay Opteron

939. Im going to ebay one with the same stepping and sell my 4800 to pay off the video card(which I didnt plan to buy but didnt notice the motherboard didnt have onboard, wopse!) and then oc that thing because I know I can up the voltage in my sig rig so I can prolly get a 2.9

One thing I accidently did was try to change the multi, which made me need to reset the cmos, which ment I had to remove the PSU and to do that I had to remove the video card...

and now Ive got to put it all back in

You don't need to do all that to reset the CMOS...

If you saw my case youd understand..
The Cmos was under the PSU(which is in the front of the case, its a small Lian Li) so I had to get it out and to do that I had to remove the video card.

Heres a question, Im having an issue with my ram and cant figure it out.
(my ram:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146883)
I cant run 1 test 4 in memtest without failing on one of the ram(same one) 2.7v 2.0-2-2-6@214 or 2.5-3-3-8@214
I even droped it to 133 and it freezes at 5-6%

hmm I droped the FSB by 1 and now it ran one test a-ok, Ill keep ya posted
and right after my edit... err! drop it one more and see how we go.
couldnt even run them at 2.0-2-3-6@200 so Im trying a bios update
