Choose a GPU? MSI GTX 770 Lightning or GTX 780?

I plan to use this for 1080p gaming, namely BF4.

GTX 770 Lightning is 450$, while 780 is $650.

Is the performance increase really worth the extra 200$ to get a 780?

Current GPU: MSI GTX 660 2GB

IMO, the GTX 780 is well worth the $200 extra for the performance.

I've had a GTX 680 clocked @1450MHz and a TITAN clocked @1200MHz and it was a night and day difference.

Difference would be smaller between a 770 and 780, but still the comparison is justified.

780 is better and worth the money. But for 1080p maybe 770 could also be good.

Also if your monitor is 60hz than you can save some money going 770.

that game is optimized for amd cards. i'd wait for the new cards from amd. i play using 1080 and i thought i would need to crossfire my 7950 and 7970 for this game. my 7950 handled it just fine at all High settings at stock but my i7 is at 4.5GHz. i expect the final release to be close to it.

btw, it might be too early to judge your sig in this games since it is still in beta. i'd just wait for the final release and nvidia to optimize the driver more for it.

Thanks for the help!

My monitor is at 60Hz, so I am still undecided on which to go with. I just feel that 650$ for a graphics card is crazy expensive (not as much as TITAN though). Considering it, for 400$ I can buy a console that plays perfectly lag-free, (although not as high graphics), and end up paying in the thousands of dollars for a PC to do the same...

Anyway, thanks for the help. I will make my choice when the final game comes out as rdr09 said.
