Hey.

So my friend gave me a surden amound of money and now i am between those cards. They have the same price here but i dont know what to get.

He plays on a 1080p monitor and would like to MAX BF3/4

I will get an i5 4670 NON K as he wont be doing some extreme overcloking. with an ASRock Z87 Extreme3 ATX and a Corsair CX 600W PSU.

So here are the GPUs.

Get the 7970. It's a better and faster card than the 670.

Also, you'll never come close to using 4gb of the 670 card. So 3gb is more than enough with the 7970.

The 4GB is quite unnecessary on the 670, as the memory bandwidth is only 256-bit. There will be no performance gain on the extra memory. On some cases, it can be just a little slower (I'm speaking of 0.01-0.5% FPS differences.) http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/01/08/asus_geforce_gtx_670_directcu_ii_4gb_gpu_review/
I recommend the 7970, as it has a wider memory bandwidth (384-bit), and it overclocks nicely too. I would recommend the 2GB version of the 670, if you can get it cheap. They are great cards too. Just don't choose the reference design.

7970.

since he will be playing BF4 and IF mantle does deliver with a performance increase, then it will leave the 670 in the dust.
