AX7970 is too long, and now I'm in an 8x slot

You can see my problem. The H100i is in the way, even with the fans removed. Any relocation ideas for the H100i on the HAF XB? The card is in the 8x slot. I can't tell a difference in games, but just knowing that it's out of place is really bothering me.

can you put it on the top of the case as exhaust instead of front of the case as intake? would lower the temp inside the case as well.

I could do that, however I have a 240mm fan on the top venting hot air. That would also make it very difficult when I had to access the case.
