USB Power Cycling on DP server

Thread Starter
I am testing the components on a server I am building for folding@home.

I know the power is cycling because the keyboard I am using for setup has back lighting and is flashing on and off. Keyboard input works as if it is being pulled and plugged back in. This only happens when I am in Server 2008 R2 (Temporary OS). There is no power cycling in the Bios. The weird thing is it seems like I was able to halfway install Server 2008 fine from USB.
I am stuck on the password screen on installation because it is extremely hard to type rolleyes.gif

Specs
Mobo: Supermicro X9DR3-F
CPU: 2x E5-2680
Ram: 4 x 4gb Samsung miracle memory
HDD: Random 80gb Hitachi
PSU: Seasonic X-850

So far I have tried
  • Checking PSU connections
  • Trying different USB ports
  • Double checking the case to see if there are any weird shorts

I am hoping this is not a mobo problem mad.gif

For anyone who is interested the problem is with Server 2008 R2 and this motherboard. Ubuntu works fine oddly enough.

Bios update did not fix.
