something fishy, onboard and dedicated graphics

So I got a new laptop Specs are

GTX 670MX 3 gb
core i7 3630 2.4 ghz
8 gbrams

now according to web reviews I should be able to play BF2 on high settings with 45-55fps, im assuming its 1080p

http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-670MX.82603.0.html

now when i play it is very different, on medium settings with 960p im getting less than 30 FPS this is day cause my old Geforce 9800 gt is killing this video card on the same game with 955BE running it in my sig rig.

anyone have any ideas if the on board card is taking over enough though i set it to use the 670mx?

thanks guys

You might check to make sure you're on the highest performance power profile if any are set up on your laptop. I know on mine there are a few presets that will limit CPU and/or GPU to half speed. Also, check to see that your GPU is hitting its advertised clocks. Unless I'm mistaken it should be 600Mhz on the core and 2800Mhz on the ram.
