Controller: PS4 vs. Xbox One

I would like to buy a better controller, no 3rd party brand this time.

I guess we all know that the Xbox controllers have a better out of the box support on the PC, but the new consoles are a different game and there is a good chance that the PS4 controller will be much better supported on the PC this time.

I'm inclined to go for the PS4 controller in general, but what are the arguments against it?

The Steam controller looks interesting. Looks like the next step in controller design, but this is an experiment so far and I'll definitely check this out when it's time.

Check out motionjoy ds3 tool for the dualshock 3. It has an emulator for the PS3 controller to look like a 360 controller and I use it personally paired up with a Bluetooth dongle (cheap) and have wireless vibration too! You can also change the buttons and vibration amounts and what not! As for the PS4 or Xbox One controllers if you decide to go that route, I would say try them as support is not an issue but how they feel in comparison! Let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to help! thumb.gif

What do you know, ( http://www.engadget.com/2013/10/05/sony-dualshock-4-windows-compatibility-Shuhei-Yoshida/ ). This will make things for emulators much easier so again, support is nothing to worry about for any of the controllers whether it be the PS3, 360, PS4, or Xbox One controllers!

At this point it looks like it just matters where you want your thumbs to be. Both controllers are going to have windows support "sometime after launch", according to random articles.

Would be my first choice by the sound of it, but little is known yet and uncertain when it is going to be available at this point, but definitely something I'll be looking at.

How is the X1 controller triggers? Is it good or do you owners feel it needs to be revised?
