boy, bigval must've had a bad AMD childhood........poor deprived child >=D.
However, his arguments are VERY valid - AMD was simply disappointing. AMD right now is not focusing on efficiency but raw power, just like Intel in the past. Intel's Pentium 4 and Pentium D gave the raw power it needed to compete with AMD but it wasn't efficient enough in the long run. Now, AMD shows that it is desperate in claiming the market. Why can't there be more balance in the CPU competition?
In the defense of AMD and the whole price issue. Lets keep in mind how much newegg charged for the Q6700. Maybe they are overcharging a lot on the AMD as well.
