Bad temp on new build ? need help

Thread Starter
Got a probleme here, my first build :

240mm + 120mm rad and koolance PMP 400 pump 138 flow rate hours

my temp at idle was arround 25 both gpu and cpu
at full load it was arround 45-55

Here my new build :

480mm + 240mm and Swiftech MCP655-B 12v 317 flow rate hours

fow both build using thermal compound Artic Mx-3

my temp right now are 35-38 at idle (cpu) both gpu at 28 allright..
at full load, 50-55 for cpu and both gpu are arround 60-68

there is my new EK FC bridge parallel (some say parallel bridge require a high flow pump..)

what wrong in there lol, my pump is not ennough for my build ? : \
my bridge ?

i still might add my PMP 400 sleeper after my cpu on the top of my case to help the loop.. but if its not the probleme.. trying to understand

thx in advance smile.gif

I am not an expert, but if you have added a significant amount of radiator space(read restriction) and a parallel GPU block (read more restriction), and your temperatures went up...you might have a flow issue. Someone smarter than me will probably need to confirm this suspicion.

Id like to understand but.. when you say a flow issue.. what do you mean ?
im just thinking some time that my pump doesnt do the job right now,
but i could fit my pmp 400 pump sleeper right after my cpu to help the loop..
ive passed like 2hours to remove all bubble in my loop.. since my radiator is higher of my reservoir it was a hard job lol

its alway hard to ask about this parallel bridge since not many people use them...

From bridges installation manual :

You are using exactly the non working configuration

First question - which way is your new loop flowing?

Second question - what do you mean by "flow rate hours"? Is that a measure of the flow rate? If you can give it in Litres per hour (L/hr) or Gallons Per Minute (GPM) that would be more useful. How are you measuring flow rate? You should be aiming for around 1GPM or 230L/hr.

Third question - Can we have a photo of the pump section?

Edit: As mm67 pointed out, your parallel bridge is set up incorrectly - the GPUs are not getting any water flow. Frankly it is amazing that they are seeing reasonable temperatures.

Change the top hose to the left side and try again.

My GPU is 42C (overclocked) and it has no fan on the actual graphics card, I've had it since 2008 i think its no worse, so trust me it'll be fine smile.gif

yeah im sorry it was L/hr my old pump was 138L/hr
and my new swiftech MCP 655-B is 317L/hr

my loop is not the same as my old
my old was Res - pump - rad240 - cpu - rad120 - gpu - gpu - res
my new is Res - Pump - rad480 - gpu - gpu - cpu - rad240 - res

ill post a pics of my pump section soon

but here i got a question, on my pump there is 2 wire, one is for the power and the 2nd as i see it was for a pump controller right ?

but since i dont have any.. do i have to care about this wire ? cause its not pluged right now

That one doesn't matter, it's just for rpm reading
