Hard mat gaming mouse

I'm looking for a hard mat gaming mouse, I wouldnt mind the size.
Personally thinking of Razer Manticor, but I'm worried that it would cause lots of screeches between the mouse and the mat.
Need some suggestions here on a HARD mat. Thanks guys

A Hard pad I liked was the 9hd of steelseries.
Aswell used the destructor in the past but the pad wears out quick.

The 9hd feel is a hybrid pad tough, its fast enough and still can stop the mouse fast enough.
So if you are looking for a smoother faster surface I would stay away from it.

For the rest I never used any hardpads I love the cloth feel much more on my wrist then the cold hard pads.

I have a 4hd and my wife has the 9hd and we love them. I liked that they are not metal so the layers wont separate after time. So far they have been used for over a year and show no signs of wear.

Have a look at the RatPadz XL. I've had "ONE" for the last three and half years and it has no signs of wear.

And it's still $19.99 once you add it to the shopping cart.

I'd also recommend the SteelSeries 9HD. I've always had a good experience with SteelSeries mouse pads.

Does the aluminium base cause any scratching or screeching sounds when playing on the mouse?

Mine sounds perfectly fine as long as your mouse feet have proper lift distance (I tried it with a DA2013/Taipan). You will only hear scraping/scratching if the mouse touching it, not the feet. The feel of the aluminium mouse pad is unique, it's got more friction than a typical hard pad like the destructor /scarab.
