Anyone have CF 280xs? Just bought two more monitors and I need the horsepower to push all those pixels, but I still need the cards to be efficient enough to be powered by a TX850 with a 3770k and a bunch of fans.

I was considering the Matrix, but that card is absolutely massive and I feel like it would be hard to cool two of those.

I found myself feeling leery about Gigabyte because I've never used a Gigabyte GPU and have heard some horror stories. Then I reminded myself that just because other people may have had a bad experience doesn't mean that I will. I find the generally all of the manufacturers make solid products and that I need to stop worrying so much wink.gif

I'm honestly worried about buying any product that isn't EVGA, I had a friend who bought a second hand imported 680 with no receipt, when it died he called evga and they got him to send it to a local store where he got a refund.
That kind of service is just second to none and is one of the reasons I always lean towards the green team.

Yep I've only ever had EVGA cards. Always worked great. Hopefully Gigabyte continues that tradition for AMD cards for me.

Any time I buy Nvidia, I buy EVGA.

XFX 280X or ASUS 280X DCUII or Sapphire 280X Vapor-X headscratch.gif

Have been with my XFX HD6870 for 4 years and no problems with it, ASUS 280X is quiet which draws me to it, Sapphire Vapor-X looks pretty, as does the XFX. Is the ASUS quietest of the lot? Which one runs the coolest?

I don't plan to overclock, I just want to upgrade my graphics.

Any suggestions?

Having some issues with my Asus 280X DC2. Any time I do anything graphics intensive for 30-45 minutes it will freeze and crash to desktop, then artifact like crazy until rebooted (black and white geometric shapes). Happens in BF3, BF4beta, Blacklight Retribution, 3DMark, everything. Running 13.11Beta (original version). Fan is on auto, temps are fine, not overclocked at all.

To me sounds like bad VRAM maybe, any ideas?

Nothing wrong to go with what you're used to. A friend of mine only buys EVGA nVidia products and I've always been very impressed with their quality both in product and customer service. I am currently using a second-hand XFX HD 4870 and phoned their support after the fan went, the service rep was great and for free, he sent me a new fan assembly as soon as they received a returned/dead card of the same...(granted I had gotten a sweet deal on an aftermarket cooler after not being able to wait a week...) so I've been very happy with XFX.

So isorted my issue last night by reformating my pc. So glad it's working can play BF4 like a boss. Only issue is the inconstancy of gpu usage. both of my GPU's is not being used the same amount so this is a bit of a problem but that's only in BF4 so i'm not to worried as there is some issues with drivers and Game

I think that is how BF4 works, I have same "issue", but I have sync on (60 fps)
