I think the more expierenced users will be going with at least 290 if they are upgrading.

If my 280x is a dog with a low ASIC (like my previous 7950) I will probably return it and go the 290 route. By then there should be a good selection of 290s

I think my 7870 Devil with a 270x Devil would be very cool but I am still on the fence and it's has not released yet nor has the 290 non-ref cards.. That's why I asked and thanks for the help.

And yes, 2 x 7870 is faster than 1 x 280x or 7970, I have just never X-Fired and I am tentative to go there.

Dont leave us devil!! lol just kidding. ive ran crossfire for the better part of 4 years. when i had my 5770s i never knew what micro stutter was as i didnt experience it on that build. even currently on my 7870s i didnt have the micro stutter thats been soo bad across the net. To be honest ive tested my current rig with and without frame pacing enabled and i dont see a difference. think micro stutter doesn't affect all builds. i think it affects mismatch configurations such as running a 7850 with a 7870 or cards that have boost as the clocks will prolly almost never match which adds variance to the config meaning if card A is boosting to say 1150 but card B is only boosting to 1090 then that will affect things like gpu usage variations. im the type that has to keep my clocks the same i always set clocks according to the slowest card So if card A can oc to 1250(my asus) and card B can only oc to 1175(my powercolor) then both my cards will be set to 1175. Ive actually tested 1250 with 1175 and it was bad i could tell that it wasnt running as smooth as it does when the clocks are the same not to mention it didnt help performance any having the asus at 1250.

Just joined the ranks! Returned my 270x. Ordered the Sapphire R9 280x (Purple Box) - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FLMKNE0/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So Far I am liking it.. I know once I go AMD 8 Core 8350 CPU, I'll be enjoying it even more. (BF4 Gamer)

I can't get any OCing inside of Catalyst to work correctly. Fan control works great but any adjustment up from 1050mhz, doesn't play well and I get DX Errors. :/

This Dual X Version of the Sapphire R9 280X is apparently already OC'd. Seems to be the ceiling for my card. maxed at 1020/1500. Unable to push further, even with the full 20% in power increase.

When I had my 2x 7850 on air, never passed 68C. I find it funny my min and max is higher but you have higher score.

How would I go about doing so. The voltage slider is locked. I have never upped voltage on any GPU I have owned. Can you walk a noob through it.

After unlocking the voltage adjustment inside the settings, the slider is still locked, even after rebooting... Any ideas? (MSI AFTERBURNER)
