To Asus 280X DC2T owners, it it possible to adjust card voltage using Afterburner? Or do you have to use the Asus GPU Tweak?

I would like to keep Afterburner because of the ingame OSD (and the author just confirmed that he is working on a x64 version that will be compatible with x64 games and will exclusive to afterburner for 9 months).

And I don't think it makes sense (or its even possible) to have both the GPU Tweak and Afterburner at the same time.

The Gigabyte heatsink and fan design at least to me looks much better than the HIS

The XFX looks pretty nice aesthetically to me, but it just doesn't look like it's going to cool very well for a decent overclock, which is the same issue the HIS would have in my eyes. Personally though, I feel that the Asus DC2T is probably the best all around 280x, as it comes clocked at 1070 at the core and 6400mhz memory, which is quite a bit higher than other 280x's as most others are have memory clocks at 6000mhz. The Matrix plat, while a sweet card, is a space hogging power sucking BEAST. If you could actually find a Sapphire toxic anywhere and they weren't so expensive, I'd say it's probably the best 280x money can buy...but you're just $40 short of a 290 at that point (in the US)...

Wut?

The HIS 7970 was one of the best overclockers i have seen

It's funny that you guys think brand has something to do with the silicon lottery. This urban myth is a lie.

I'm not an expert at what this software does, but why don't you try running at a higher schedule timer resolution? AFAIK, Windows is not a real time OS, inputs are processed at scheduled intervals.
This one program called "Hypermatrix" is speculated to improve latency down to 0.5 ms, maybe improving cpu duty ratio as well.

it doesn't work very well , plus afterburner tend to forget your custom fan setting and leave the fan not spinning at all , it happened to me with 2 asus card both amd and nvidia , i m never using afterburner again .
but you can ajust clock but not the voltage on afterburner with a asus card , you can run them both but i think it could cause some crash .
i just think the latest version of gpu tweak is now far superior to msi afterburner specially for an asus card.

Well like that guy said, the appeal of Afterburner is the osd.

Do you or anybody else know, can you install Afterburner alongside Asus GPU Tweak just for the osd? You'd leave the AB tweak settings alone of course. But I wonder if that would confuse the system, with one tweak app reporting different settings than the other? Or would whichever app that loads last override the first?

Really wish we could get a standalone osd app that reports temps etc. I know AB uses rivatuner for the osd, can you just install that? I don't want to experiment and blow up my card lol, some guy posted somewhere that he used 3 tweak apps and the voltage increases became cumulative, though I'm not quite sure how that would be possible.

i've run both of them together and i had trouble knowing which was doing what , so i gave up on it , but it was with an old version of gpu tweak that was buggy (this is why i tried afterburner at first), i think most of the problem came from that .
the 2 app will run together but i can't tell you what will happen when tweaking the card, i used afterburner because at the time gpu tweak custom fan profile was even worst then after .
it wont break your card anyway that's for sure.

Does anyone have any 280x single and crossfire benchmarks in battlefield 4 preferably at 1080p?

Lots of benches out there, mostly for beta though. Here's one for single Asus 280x http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/1851/pg5/asus-radeon-r9-280x-directcu-ii-top-graphics-card-review-battlefield-4.html

65 avg at 1080p maximum. Min does drop below 60, to 55.
