When i clock my card with Sapphire Trixx my idle voltage is on max why?
i dont use constant voltage or other software for graphic card.
is the gpu usage at 100% or high too ?i have one of my card sometimes going at 100% usage insteed of idle and i fix it by exiting the oc program and opening it again . but my issues come from the sync card option i believe.

No, in picture you see card is 0 % usage.
When i not using sapphire trixx, my voltage on idle is 0.900v and temperature is 31-2 degreese.
But voltage control for this card is only in sapphire trixx.

This is a dangerous for a card or no ?
In load my temperature is 72-73 max 30 min Valley benchmark 1.0

This high voltage can harm the card ?

if you click on default and save the profile , the card goes back to 1,3v on idle ? or is it only when ocing? that's strange if it s the case.
i would need to make some try with my toxic when i get back home to help you more.

If i click to default ( reset and apply ) idle is 1.2v biggrin.gif
Only after sleep mode my voltage is normal in idle 0.900v
Problem is after sleep mode my voltage always is stock 1.2v
Sleep mode reseting all my setting in sapphire trixx.

Hey guys quick question -

I am in the market for a new GPU. I'm leaning towards the 270X, but there are a good number of people suggesting a 7950 over it. I thought they were pretty much the same, so wouldn't it be better to get the newer version - sort of a refreshed 7950?

270x = rebranded 7870 which is inferior to 7950.

You're much better off with a 7950, higher RAM bandwidth, more VRAM, better GPU...

Get a 7950 with decent cooling and OC the crap outta it.

Here's a comparison. Keep in mind the 7950 is at 800 MHz, average OC's for them go from 1100 MHz and up if you have good cooling.

Thanks. What would be the equivalent of the 7950 in the R9 series? R9280, 280X?

As of now there is no equivalent.

I'm not sure what the specifics are on the 280, if I had to guess then I'd say it's a lower binned 280x, which would make it a rebranded 7950.
