I had msi afterburner installed yes but forgot to take a screenshot with it, yes the graphs did look pretty much the same, maxing out at about 50% usuage. Maybe the game is not optimised to run well on the 7 series cards I think as on my mates 660gtx ti he can run the game on max settings no issues he said.

Ill prob just jump the gun and buy a new graphics card and cross my fingers it works!! I have an old 5850 i could try out but i doubt it would do fullscreen settings as its an old card?

Could be a driver issue, My bro's PC is running on a Phenom II X4 965 stock and he's running smooth as butter with his XFX 7850 DD....
I'd expected better from Nvidia, maybe you can try posting a topic in the Nvidia General Forums on OCN to see if anyone else with the GTX 7XX having the same issue as you....

HI there. My friend bought Msi R9 270X Hawk edition, and it has only one issue. The famous flickering at 2D,its really annoying because we tried many things to fix this (clean format, clean driver from the start) and at a random momment you can see 2-3 refresh rates at less than 10seconds! Also no bios from Msi has been released to fix this issue. Can you suggest any solution for that problem???

I had the flickering with my 7870 but when I added the 270x and installed the new beta 9.2 driver it's all gone. I don't know for sure if it's the driver or not. If he doesn't have the beta 9.2 try that.

Where did he buy it. He may be able to RMA and get a different one. I know it's $40 bucks more but the 270x devil is very sweet.

Yes you will be fine, any overlock will help however.
I have similiar CPU and planning to go for 280x or even 290 if non-ref cards make it this month.

Hey Guys,

first Post - so hello from outer Space. wink.gif I just have a Gigabyte 280X Windforce OC-Edition Rev. 1.0 since two weeks, F31 Bios (No Update so far) 13.11 Beta V 9.2 - no problems, apart from Battlefield / Bugfield 4. Just a little question to you guys: My VDDC Voltage is just 1.094 (GPU-Z) under heavy load - anybody here who have the same output? Looks a little bit low for me, if i compare it to other OC 280X Cards.

Thanks, Marc
