My card's doesn't even overclock over 1100 but then again from 1100 to 1200 there is not much fps gain on 2560x1440

The scaling is almost linear until 1400-1450. After that point you dont get that much. Personal experience with dice 7970s. If you dont gain anything over 1100 its either

1) bad oc/unstalbe oc
2)Cpu bottleneck
3)Bad crossfire scaling

i can't take Asus, the price is silly in my place. it's even more expensive than 290, the difference between toxic and DC2T is about $100 in here, so ridiculous.

how about this... (forgive me for asking this in here), zotac GTX 770 AMP is in the same price as sapphire vapor-x which is under $400, should i get that instead? i've been asked to distro and all sapphire card is out of stock... frown.gif

For the Info... Zotac GTX 770 AMP is even $15 cheaper than MSI R9 280x gaming which is ready in here. so i think i will get this 770 amp, since people recomenned 280x over 770 because the price right? now how if the price is cheaper for 770 than 280x like in my place... it's very weird price concept here in Indonesia though... frown.gif

Maybe you can get a Sapphire Dual-X for alot cheaper? The difference here is around 25$ from the Dual-X and Vapor-X and 60$ for Toxic. Realistically speaking, you're only gonna gain 5~ish more FPS at stressful games for your extra 25/60$ on the Vapor-X/Toxic, but are still acceptable for playing. If you're overclocking it'll probably be same depending on your luck, just different temps.

If you're concerned about temps/noise/looks they are definitely worth it though, the blackplate is really sexy smile.gif

ASUS/EVGA/MSI are priced higher in SEA region because distro's are saying there's not much demand so they can't import high volumes and they can't do a thing about it(but then again it always out of stock LOL).

no we recommand 280x over 770 because the performance is really better , larger memory bus , more mem and better oc stability. 770 card is a no go for anyone since it got out , never was worth it.

Plus R9 280X is better suited for mining Bitcoin/Alternative coins. If you don't know what that is, just understand that if you have free electricity or very cheap electricity bill, then a R9 280X can earn you some nice chunk of money on a monthly basis.

@ all above

yes i do think 280x is better since it got more vram that i need for skyrim ENB. so i pending my buy today and wait till monday hopefully i can get vapor-x or any other 280x that is ready in the distro.

MSI seems to have a offer with their R9 280X, giving you Battlefield 4:

A nice offer but FOR me its more expensive than the Toxic, which is at 1100 MHz core without Boost.
100 more than the MSI.
And i'm not a Battlefield fan, even though i would love to experience Mantle with it.

But if your a BF4 fan, and the card is priced well, then not a bad bargain.
