Just curious, has anyone been tempted to sell their card(s) into this litecoin craze?

apperantly this litecoin and bitcoin craze is the main cause for the gpus not being available and the prices going up!!mad.gif
not sure how true that all is but from logging into newegg and seeing my orginal gigabyte gpus gro from 299.99 to 359.99 and the recently ordered but not yet shipped due to none in stock wich is strange since i was able to put two xfx gpus in my cart and pay for them went from 309.99 to 359.99 as well. so my question here is, is litecoin mining realy that serious and if it is what can you use that for exactly i never realy read into the bitcoin and now litecoin deal. but for us gamers who just like to actualy have gpus for gaming, its a little fustrating to see everything sold out r series whys everywhere unless you want to pay dould or tripple the price....

How do I find out which bios I should flash? http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4847#bios I am using the Gigabyte 280x rev. 2.0.
Here is a GPU Z screen which shows the current bios. I can not find anything that tells me if it is F3 or F12?

Can you please tell if its voltage locked or not? Temps/fan noise?
Locked at 1.2v, temps are very good, always <70° C with stock cooler. BUT it is louder than it has to be (mostly around 65%), so I customized it with MSI Afterburner and now it is mostly at around 75° C and 40-45% fan speed. That is very silent.
Besides locked voltage it's controller does not read any vrm temps. Slight coilwhine, which is not really hearable most of the time. You have to sacrifice a bit, but I could get it for 249 € as BF4 edition over here in Germany, so it was a good deal.

Can you please check one thing for me, I assume that the card has dual bios, so there should be no damage done if something goes wrong.

Modify voltage settings in your BIOS using VBE7 and flash it...

Thanks

Seems impossible, alread is at max 1.2v as default. VRM is also stated as "unknown" in VBE7.
