hey everyone i read somone asking about the xfx user. if there was any info. i orderd 2 xfx 280x's and they should be here any time now. they have been shipped from newegg so once i get them in i will post some information on the gpus. in the mean time my two gigabyte 280x's are on point. i keep reading all this crazyness about the card and the cooler. both of mine in my trooper case throw down, and run super cooler and quiet. these are the first gigabyte cards ive used and so far im very happy with them. take out the part of not being able to control the voltage since there voltage locked. other than that they are solid. thumb.gif

again once the xfx get here i will post up some numbers and let you guys know how i feel about them.thumb.gif

Congrats on the xfx cards, IMHO those are the best looking cards ever. I would have picked it except it's too long for my setup. I'm not into "gamer" aesthetics so I love the clean minimalistic design of that card.

But about the gigabytes, do you get vrm temps on any monitoring software? Because that guy above doesn't and that sounds crazy to me, in this day, that an enthusiast board would lack vrm sensors.

vey nice. pair that bad boy up with another and the combo screems. i did see the price on these gpus went way up on newegg. i bought mine for 299.99 a piece and now there 399.99. crazy how fast they jumped up in price. the xfx i lucked out at well bought them at 309.99 now there hitting for 419.99. so far though im loving my gigabytes. once the xfx's get here im going to throw the gigabytes into my little cooler master k-380 case since the xfx gpus are a little to long for that case lol.

Just did this...

Pretty sure that's stock 7970 non GHZ performance. My 7970 Ghz did about 9500 at 1050/1500.
