I haven't tried the gigabyte tool. The software I have installed (fresh Win8 build) that has visibility into the GPUs are MSI Afterburner (beta 17 - the latest), CPU-Z (latest), GPU-Z (latest) and Catalyst Control Center. So no one should be controlling the fans apart from MSI AB I believe

Make sure you have AMD overdrive disabled in CCC, I have heard there can be some conflict

like i said before the two gigabyte ones were 299.99 a piece and the xfx ones i have coming in soon were 309.99. now there 399.99 and 419.99. its crazy there getting back up there into the nvidia price ranges.
Yea, not sure which i'm gonna get tho.
I was thinking Vapor-X again or Toxic (black orange will look fugly on blue mobo haha). I found Vapor for 276euro here including taxes & shipping so its very cheap tongue.gif But they are all out of stock.
Hopefully they'll arrive seen enough

Is it something that's enabled by default? I certainly haven't touched it. Unfortunately I won't be home till Sunday to check

Also, this morning I tried setting the fan speed through MSI AB to something other than 20% on GPU2 and it wouldn't take. GPU1 does as its told

And FWIW I haven't changed any clocks etc. on the GPUs, just MSI AB fan profile

I'm keen to get my hands on a 280X but am really stuck on what brand. I've been trying to decide for weeks tongue.gif

At the moment the two I am most interested in are a Gigabyte 280X R2.0 or a MSI 280X Gaming Edition OC. They are both the same price and the only ones I can get ahold of at the moment.

Which one would be better for noise, temperatures, warranty service and reliability? I noticed the Gigabyte Rev 2.0 does not have any reviews on the internet frown.gif

Thanks!
