Hi Guys! I am currently using an EVGA GTX 680 SC2, is it worth selling this card then upgrade to a Asus R9 280X matrix platinum in crossfire?

The reason is that I find the 280x really cheap compared to any gtx 770/780.

Hoping for your response.

I don't see the point when you could buy a used 680 for less and run sli smile.gif
You might wait for the R9-290X though.

Matrix are 3 slot cards, they're a pain in the ass to sli/xf :\. you may as well wait for the 290x if you want to spend that much money, or buy a 2nd 680.

Has anyone CF'd 7970 Matrix before? I'm curious about temps and power-draw...

I'm not gonna lie, it's disappointing to see the same games they've been bundling.

That's not the actual lineup, in the article they're saying BF4 is a distinct possibility but the lineup isn't confirmed yet.

I probably should have waited for the next bundle, this card is sick but I don't have any good games to push it to the limit with.

Waiting on amazon getting the asus top in stock for $310, so tempted though to pull the trigger on the msi gaming edition.
http://www.amazon.com/MSI-R9-280X-GAMING-3G/dp/B00FR6XPL8/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_4/190-5228932-9594738

Only $299 >_< I really did love that cooler on the 760 gaming edition I had before I sent it back for the 770. Wonder if it translates over to this camp.

I mean I could crank that fan up to 70 and not hear a thing, would also keep the card at about 60-64 under max load......... in florida.
