Ordering a 780 Ti next year for my next build. These ATI/AMD cards have the same low quality they had 15 years ago. FOREVER 3DFX!!!! I remember my first Voodoo 3 3000 and then the hover board itself the Voodoo 5 5500.

That's a serious VOODOO card right there. I grew up with the VOODOO and VOODOO2

The GPU2 temperature problem I had does indeed still seem to be a ULPS issue. I reinstalled my video card drivers, which reset the registry values to enable ULPS, and I lost fan control and temperature monitoring on GPU2. Set EnableULPS in the registry back to 0 and voila - there's my GPU2 fan & temp again

I never even ran a GFX card until the Quake series came out. Finally convinced my parents to let me get a GFX card when the Voodoo 2/3 series came out. Still have the Voodoo 5 in storage and as far as I know it still works.

So I got an email alert saying Catalyst 13.12 was out, installed it, but the sys info says Catalyst Version 13.11? This normal? Not used to AMD cards this is my first except for the mobility 5850 in my HP that I cant update the drivers on.

I do suspect it being partially responsible for the skyrocketing prices and extremely bad supply. Look at Nvidia, you can easily get any card you want. Perhaps it also has to do with AMD's supply for next gen consoles, but I doubt it.kA7FwG

That's not entirely true. The GTX 770 is on par with the 280x (except for the 1 GB of RAM deficiency); yet, the 770 went from $$310ish to $380ish in the same time that the 280x raised their prices to about the equivalent.
