Bottom line to give a few scores is ok to use 24/7 you must be way lower thumb.gif

Yes, that's what I mean. Just get a nice score while accepting some artifacts, but don't use those clocks as daylie driver of course smile.gif

well this is the mess of thermal paste they had on stock mid clean.
new paste gets a even spread...

card back in pc.

still think I might have applied paste wrong somehow... temps dont make sense to me... i used prolimatech pk-3 and my idle temps went from 33c-34c idle to 39c-40c idle and full furmark load went from 72c to 75c.... I just don't see how the stock paste could be that much better... now I didn't put it all over those little chips on the gpu just the made chip.... could that be my problem? I've made sure the hs is seated correctly... i'm just scratching my head over this...

Where did you get that backplate? Your PCB is reference right?
post #2666 of 9741
the backplate came stock its a powercolor r280x from when they were still $299 on the newegg, the backplate was actually the main reason I got this one over the others that where the same price... and I was under the impression that it was a custom pcb... but I could be wrong... if it's the " reference" pcb I'll be watercooling this one soon..

gnemelf re-apply the paste (use a bit less) and make sure the screws are well tight

Info for list

1180/1650/1.25V is my max stable OC in BF4 without additional voltage. Temps never exceed 65C @ 50% fan speed although VRM1 reaches 90-95C after a few hours of gaming. Not sure if that's considered safe or not for this particular card but other than that I'm very pleased smile.gif

@Devildog83
Nice score I can only get just over 2000 on my toxic card on normal clock settings
Over clocked slightly I can get 2200 but games will freeze after about half an hour
