Although I didn't found nobody talking about black screens, no drivers installing with Asus! Just the flickering and some fps drops that they needed to restart the computer... (Toxic is nice and has Hynnix memory instead of Elpida but far more expensive!) What would you do in my case? Stick with R9 270x or go to 7870 Top from Asus?

The 270's are mantle ready and eyefinity compatable so I would not go backwards. The flickering and blackscreens can be solved with drivers, I have not had those issues with newer beta drivers. Unlike others the 13.12 driver did not like my X-Fire set-up. If your just looking for a good gaming experience the Asus 270 seems to be a good card, if you want higher clocks I would go with a Toxic, Hawk or Devil.

Yeah, I'm going to the shop tomorrow and ask them before exchanging cards, to try out the card and see if everything is OK with Asus R9 270X! I think that going backwards is also stupid... But well i prefer to play secure! But let's see... I bet Asus GPU on an Asus Mobo gotta work it all! The flickering can be solved with drivers and with the vbios update!

If you write on google MSI R9 270x black screen, problems u will find loads of threads. If you write about Asus R9 270x u will only find stuff talking about MSI LOL!

I'm just sad because I brought a FX8120... they didn't had in stock 8320 frown.gif and they don't exchange me CPU's... Maybe the best way is to burn it up tongue.gif?

here are my thoughts on 270x's

sapphire toxic - solid reviews and performance, short warranty (2 yrs) from sapphire and no game bundle, quite pricey.

sapphire vaporx - a friend of mine got this card because its cheaper. decent performance, short warranty, no game bundle, this card is far cheaper than toxic.

powercolor devil - only read some reviews and like the toxic, this card is also a solid performer, also a bit pricey.

Asus 270x - my cousin owns one and also a solid performer. maybe by chance you only got a bad card. i suggest you need to RMA it.

Edit: i might add, you might upgrade your mobo to the latest BIOS. new gpu drivers might also alleviate your issues. also check your psu if your card is getting enough juice.

i totally agree... the 270x performs better than the 7870 so there's no reason to go back.

I don't know where you buy from but at Newegg the prices are -

Asus Top - $210
Devil - $220
Toxic - $230
Hawk - $230
All others $200 to $220 Not a lot of difference there but might be elsewhere.

That's funny. That 8120 should handle a 270x but what do I know, I went from the 4100 to an 8350 and a M5A99x Evo to a CHVFZ. Skipped right by the 8120.

You should do a sig rig. Go to the upper right-hand corner of this page and click rig-builder and list what you have so we can see.

Yeah I think it's a bad card... Retailer will have to exchange it. I'm going for Asus for sure, I read good thing about it! I'm on the latest BIOS on Asus M5A97 Evo 2.0 mobo! Well the 700W PSU is good, GPU-Z will tell me the power right? How can I check it?

I will post GPU-Z screens in a while
This GPU-Z info without any ATI Drivers installed since I can't thanks to going black screen in the middle of installation!

Any more info?
