I only have experience with MSI cards and now that I'm running CLUB3d (got it for bargain) has no heatsinks on the memory only thing cooling them is the heatsink covering the whole card so a bit worry about temps there. I also tried 1200MHz but what I could remember is having some issues on 1.263v (stock voltage). Maybe these cards are just bad in general. Wish I bought the Sapphire toxic or so instead of these cards.
My personal opinion is that playing games beyond 60fps for me is more than enough and there is no point for me to push my card further unless im benchmarking my system, if your card is a low profile design one with no fans whatsoever, leave it at stock, however, if you plan to OC it, you might want to use some aftermarket cooling solution for the card. Again, make sure to monitor your GPU temps.
