I don't know but I think have read the max safe temp are 95°c. but I can't be wrong too. but on my card have 6 led for the temp and just 4 are turn on. its more hard to find answer, or a tutorial when the card are new.

So I got my card to sort of accept 1180MHz on core but then I see some green dots. I was running at 1.3V with 120% power limit. guess my cards won't overclock frown.gif

I don't understand how this is a hard decision considering a 290 is much faster than all of those options

what is your memory at? What are you using to oc with? What is your clock speed to start on your cards?

some of the 290 Ref cards come with BF4 as well.

And the ref cooler does a good job at keeping the card cool but it trades heat for noise, I will say that my old 6970 CF set-up was louder than the 290x i had but it's still a bit on the noisy side for some.
