I put power limit onto -20%, which lowered the GPU volt to 1.2V (stock 1.256V) and the VRM was around 87-90C and core being at 80C while fan only at 2500 rpm, which was actually quite good. But then again, core clocks went down dramatically. The stock voltage is too high imo, and i can't find any other way to change it without affecting the core clocks.

HWiNFO64 shows me two VRM temps though, one was 85C, the other one 99C. Not sure if Sapphire really screwed up this VaporX model or bad contact between heatsink and GPU.

Try tightening the screws on the back-plate....sometimes quick assembly in the manufacturing process can cause some QA misses when workers aren't or forget to tighten the screws...At least I know the Devil 13 had this issue...If all else fails try reapply TIM and check the VRM heatsink....

I don't recall the Vapor-X having a non-stock voltage. I thought only the Toxic was supposed to have a higher voltage? Like 1.25V but running at 1100 to 1150 MHz.

Sigh, my Matrix can only go up to 1240 core. No matter how much voltage I slam into it... this is insulting..

Unfortunately that's because the 7970/280X Matrix are known for not being cherry picked when they should have with all those PCB enthusiast features.

the second graph is GPU usage while playing BF3. As you can see its all over the friggen place. How can i fix this? Or is this due to crappy drivers?

Where are you getting these promo codes from? I look at all my recent Newegg email deals and I don't see that code in them....I'd love to make a huge purchase though with a saving at least tongue.gif

Damn you CA taxes
