I will publish a picture when I get home...now works at 1125 MHz@47%-60 oC max stable (3x case fans) and may even push further...

Have anyone tried the NZXT kraken g10 and antec khuler 620 on a r9-280x. I'm just scared about vrm temps. What about i keep the vrm plate on the gpu and install that plate and AIO cooler for at least my top card. if everything works out i hope i can overclock my cards much further. but this will cost me so much that in the end tis will cost me more than 2x r9-290 non reference cards.

So I'm running 2560x1440 @ 120Hz. My friend was over at my place this weekend and he is running a GTX760 gaming. He was playing on a 1080p 60hz panel and I don't know if I'm imagining things or what but every game looked smoother than on my screen. Maybe the frametime is worse on my cards.

I'm running windows 8.1 with latest 14.2 drivers. Will see once they release the new drivers this week. fingers crossed for tomorrow

Just ordered a R9-270X devil edition today for my secondary gaming rig/ home server build. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow. As much how sexy these cards look, I might get a second to crossfire for fun.

Will take unboxing pics once it arrives, smile.gif

Awesome, your gonna love it. X-Fire will be awesome if you go there. The core is a tad limited on mine but the memory can almost hit 1600 Mhz/6.4 Ghz. Is that going in the X58 Crimson Phantom?

Can't wait for pics and clocks.

Just noticed you pay taxes on your order, I am lucky not to have to deal with that yet.

Nah its going into a new build to make use of my FT02 catching dust in my living living room workstation area. Been wanting to do a pure AMD FX Crossfire build for sometime though the time available to do so is not always there and fluctuating GPU market in the AMD arena added further delay. I might just use my 2500k from my unfinished ITX build and Z77 Extreme 4 temporary until I get my hands on a good OCing 990FX board since having a brand new FX-8350 sitting next to me for several months now unused.

My old X58 rig now belongs to my sis, I'm baffled on how strong that thing stands against modern games to this day, its over 3 years old! redface.gif

A CHVFZ would be nice for the 8350, they work well together. Bummer the 8350 just sits there not doin' nothin'.

I've thought about the Crosshair V Formula-Z and 990FX Sabertooth, but recent waves of negative feedback of their Customer Service Support has be looking the other way for the time being, even though I have yet to have an ASUS board to fail on me. I might just pull the trigger for one if all else fails to meet my requirements from other vendors.

I'm still on the fence due to other board vendors have their own problems, such as Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 mosfet cooling issue and MSI VRM housefires. Not even sure if Newegg sells the latest revision of the UD5 or UD7 which is nowhere to be found there at this time of writing. Asrock boards on the other hard are Iffy due to mixed feedback I've gathered from Newegg and here.

Sometimes the way feedback is presented creates a step away from a purchase because of all the bad ones..like you said , haven't had a fail.. and so why hold back!! There comes a time to just do it and deal w/it & how it comes @ ya. Oh..I sat on that fence and then jumped into it and came out grinning. Like the song.
