Definitely do it! I just got off playing Crysis after 2 hours and the it stayed at around 68C with a spike to 73C. I used Radeon Pro to monitor the temps using the OSD feature.

Hey I just purchased a XFX 280 and am looking to watercool it using the NZXT G10. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am looking to know if i should buy a shim for it and what ram heatsinks I should use. Thank you!

I think the G10 is very adaptable so I'm confident it will fit. Just make sure you look at the VRAM temps. Which cooler you cooling it with?

This card is locked, can only use VBE7.0.0.7b to enable upto 1.256v (still 1.18v load). Stock BIOS only allows 1.18v in trixx while the custom one allows me to apply 1.256v.

If only it had 1.3v it would do 1200Mhz no problem.

Hi! New member here.
I also have a R9 270X. To be more precisly, I have the Sapphire Radeon R9 Dual-X 270X 2GB OC Edition. Lol, the name is so long.

It's about 1 week old, and I have OC'ed it abit. Here is my settings in CCC.

GPU Clock - 1155MHz
Memory Clock - 1425MHz
Power Control - 20%+

I also got a little question. Anyone know's what will increase my FPS in games when running on high, e.x BF4. GPU Clock or Memory clock? Temperature measured to 62 degrees celsius when playing BF4 on high.

In overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. It only costed me 1.500 SEK. Approx 160 euros, and BF4 included smile.gif

Core clock is king. GPU clock will increase your fps much more drastically than a RAM overclock.

So, in order to increase my FPS in the best and drastic way, it is the Memory clock I should increase? I may be a little lost right now, but is Memory clock Core clock? How many MHz per step should I increase when OC'ing a graphic card? I usually increase 10MHz, play a few games and surfing for some hours and see if it's stable. Am I doing it in a good way?

Well.. In my world (Might just be me, hehe), but RAM is the memory sticks, like Corsair or something. I also do blame that I am very tired, haha.

But let me know if I got you. RAM is also the same as Memory Clock in graphic card manners? So, black on white, increasing Memory clock is the best if im looking for higher FPS? And yes, Im sure I will be doing this. You have been a rookie too you know..

Btw, another question. Out of nowhere, when I try to launch the game Apache Air Assault, I get a error message, like "FATAL ERROR: prog.engine2/shaders/ShaderBlock.ccp..." something. Is that game-wise, or is it something with my rig?... I have never gotten it before. I can play MW3 and BF4 without any errors. All drivers are up to date.

EDIT::
