I'm confused at the moment as HWInfo shows that Voltage for both cards is 1,2560 in stress, yet GPUTweak shows it is lower. Who do I believe?

I think ASUS GPU TWEAK is a piece of crap...always has been.
I would trust HWINFO64 and i would double check by installing MSI Afterburner which is the best Graphics card software OC tool. Try that mate.

I wonder if he flashed the cards to the new bios that Msi rolled out? The bios that is on the cards makes it run extremely hot. I have two cards coming so i will find out just how hot the stock bios is.

Between sapphire R9 280x vapor-x and 280x toxic, which is more quiet and cool?
Oddly enough, it seems the Toxic is cooler and quieter despite its higher stock voltage.

http://www.tomshardware.de/amd-radeon-r9-280x-roundup-test,testberichte-241401-6.html

Maybe we should sticky that link in the OP? It's turned up a few times now. It's not exactly scientific, but it gives a rough idea and lets us figure out what sort of pitch or whine the fans make. Pure dB numbers don't account for much if the lower dB value is an annoying type of sound to us. Honestly I wish all reviewers recorded the GPU fans and build up a proper database we can use to help us decide. As long as the methodology remains the same, we can still compare them to each other.

My GTX 480 trumped the other day rendering my hag rig useless for gaming.... so i am after a cheap but powerful alternative to Nvidia's rather high pricing, and i am not settling for GTX 670/680.

Also this worries me........ incredibly loud in comparison to my 480 (custom cooled).

It know it's kind of ugly but why aren't people buying the HIS version? It's voltage unlocked and has cooling that rivals the 3 slot Asus cooler. I will be getting mine today hopefully.

Probably cause it is kinda ugly. You're right though, it does sit in a case and isn't seen most of the time. Still when you open the case to show your buddies its nice to have a nice looking piece of hardware to show off, and guessing this is the primary reason most don't get them. Its a good card though.
