I have 2 XFX r9 270x DD's overclocked to same settings as you but only use 1.25v max and 0.875 while stock.
If you are planning on keeping those volts then you should have some good cooling maybe even water and bump up the speeds a tad more.

I think you are gong to need at least 1.3v to run at 1360 on a 270x. 1350 is just about as high as I have seen on a 270x. Can you get 1350 and your DD's at 1.25v? That would be crazy good if you can.

1350 is not a little overclock...that's 300MHz over stock...a 28.5% increase. He's lucky to be able to get his card stable at those clocks at any voltage. If you have two that can bench at 1350 with only 1.25V well you've hit the silicon lottery, but 1.3V for his OC is not bad by any means.

I'm new to the amd/ati scene, but it was my understanding all 270Xs came stock overclocked at 1400mhz (that's what the X is for isn't it?), that's what mine is at (while gaming) and my voltage never goes over 1.2. My temps never go over the mid 60s either (again, while gaming), with stock cooling.

Edit: NVM, I see now yall were talking about the core clock, not the memory clock. (My core clock is at 1080, not 1400)

Curious though, could increasing the volts from 1.2 possibly resolve that flickering I've been talking about? I have to wait till tomorrow to contact their CS to request a replacement so I'm still troubleshooting.

Edit: Tried upping to 1.25 then 1.3m flickering persisted, looks like it's time to send this card back, because ive tried everything.

No, they come with different clocks. 1400 Mhz that yours came with is memory clock not core clock.

So I noticed in gpu-z even though I edited my profile.xml to up my minimum 2d clock speeds to be 450/300, they won't go above 300/150mhz. This is the last thing I can try before having to get this card replaced. Does anyone know why they aren't changing?

I would be surprised to see a 270x hit 1350MHz @ 1.3V
Most people tend to top out around 1270-1300 MHz at that voltage.
My 270x at 1.3V tops out at around 1275.

When carefully testing my card i came to the conclusion that you need an incremental increase of voltage to get the cards to be fully stable at clocks above 1300MHz.
I needed:
1.340V for 1320MHz
1.360V for 1340MHz
1.412V for 1360MHz

I don't doubt there's better cards out there which are of a higher bin than mine, but i really don't see any 270x hitting 1350MHz at 1.3V. AMD knows what they can get out of their cards and that would put them straight into 280 territory, thus cutting their own flesh. As a card overclocked at those speeds can go head to head with stock 280x's for about two thirds of the price.

Would anyone be kind enough to rpely to this simple question.
Have been searching for long but could not get a concrete answer :\

Is the Memory Voltage modifiable through MSI after burner or any tool on ASUS R9 280X DCUII TOP card ?

I was having a hard time with Artifacts so i rma'ed my GPU now even the new GPU does the same although the frequency and occurance of artifacts has reduced to a significant degree.

So would like to undervolt and underclock my memory to experiment with it.

I have exactly the same card with the same problem, sadly there is no way you can underclock the memory voltage. it will always stuck at 1.6v i tried with afterburner and it didn't work. other gpu tools from asus and sapphire don't have memory voltage sliders. but lately i've experienced no artifacts when playing by lowering down the gpu memory clock to 1550 instead of the original 1600 and power limit at +20%. Use catalyst 13.12 or 14.3 beta. Hope this helps

Had some atikmdag.sys BSOD on 14.4 when using FF. Rolled back to 14.3, I was able to overclock it higher and not having any solid red screen issue I had on 14.4. Haven't tried out 13.12 yet though. I noticed my temps were getting higher than it was previously while running stress test/benchmarks (70c~80c), and I remembered that I removed the heatsink without re-applying TIM. doh.gif Searched some TIMs that are available here.

Zalman STG2 , 1
Deepcool Z3 , Z5 , Z9
Prolimatech PK-1
Noctua NT-H1
Tuniq TX4 , TX2
Thermaltake TG-2
Antec Formula 7
Cooler Master Extreme Fusion X1
Cooler Master IC Value V1
Compound IC Diamond 24 Carat , 7 Carat
Arctic Silver 5
Arctic Cooling MX-2
Gelid GC-Extreme
Gelid GC-2
Thermalright Chill factor 3

Couldn't find any of the TIMs you mentioned on the previous pages (PK-3 Nano, Xigmatek PTI-G4512) not sure if I missed some. No Arcticlean too arrowheadsmiley.png but I'll try asking the store when I'll be buying TIM.
Anyone here by chance tried one of these out? What do you think is the best among those?

The TIM applied to my card was too thin that when I removed the heatsink I just pulled it without twisting luckily the core didn't get ripped off. doh.gif
Is it okay to just wipe it off? Is the alcohol 90%~99% solution is really needed or it's okay to use 70% solution? Can I use either Ethyl or Isopropyl? Sorry for asking too many questions. redface.gif
