Ok, so here's a question I have. I just received 2x XFX DD 280x but the Crossfire Bridges they sent me aren't long enough to connect both cards in crossfire. Is it bad to leave the second card seated and plugged into the PSU without having the crossfire bridge on it? Also, I can't play any game for more than 2 seconds without giving me a DX11 crash.

You have to have the bridge hooked up

I know but what I'm asking is if I leave that second card seated in that slot but unplugged until I get a longer Crossfire Bridge, will that damage the lanes/gpu/etc?

No, but there's really no point of it being in there if you aren't using it.

Considering getting 2 of these on crossfire over a single 290X. Anyone have this card?

So here is my opinion on the 280x. ABSOLUTE PIECE OF GARBAGE. I cant play a single round of bf3 for more than 2 minutes before I get a red screen and system reboot. frown.gif

Not sure what to say, I switched from my 670 to the 280x and BF3 is just fine on both cards.

Yes I do have an MSI R9 280X. blushsmiley.gif

It is suggested that you flash the bios right away as the bios that comes with it is for the 7970 and it is supposed to run hot. I never noticed any overheating but flashed it anyway.
http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/index.php?architecture=ATI&manufacturer=MSI&model=R9+280X&interface=&memType=&memSize=

This one also seems to need some burn in time. It started off really slow but has been getting faster daily. It looks to be faster than the X2 6970s I had before and is quite a bit less noisy.

So far so good.

Well, what a disappointment.

How? It matches and even beats a titan in most cases, the only issues with it is the cards run hot and use a little more juice. You should explore the news section where there are more reviews..
