If it's not what you want then send it back, it's that simple (that is if they let you return it, and I'm sure they will if you tell them it's not what you thought you ordered).

Honestly I really like the card, the brushed metal backplate is definitely sexy and I OC'd to 1150Mhz on 1.22v, gets up to around 70C on most GPU intensive games like Crysis and BF and 80 on Furmark, I think I'm gonna end up keeping it unless anyone else has thoughts about this. tongue.gif

I believe this is the heatsink they used on the 7970, and seeing as 280x is basically a 7970 old reviews should provide an answer.

Sounds like you have a decent overclocker there , i would keep it aswell because the Toxic for example runs at 1150 MHZ but on 1.256V...at stock.

I found something strange about my Msi 280x Gaming. Tried few versions of afterburner and it always shows my stock core voltage at 1075 mv. Is it normal ? I'm thinking its a bit too low and maybe thats why I can't OC it past 1050 / 1500.

It's funny that this page just states all the information for the normal 2 slot version but just adds a few images of the old 3 slots cooler.

Or at all. I actually took a 7970 matrix platinum back the other week because the dimensions on the website differed to the dimensions on the box and it didn't fit. In the end I could have kept it because I sawed my drive cage in half to make room for a longer card, but I'm glad I returned it now anyways as when I got it back there they told me a lot of people had returned them because they artifact out of the box.
