So, in light of me postponing the upgrade, anything I can do to extract more performance out this card? My core is OC to 1125 MHz, and anything higher will result in artifacts at least in some games. My temps are okay around 65-70 C depending on ambient. I previously tried to OC the VRAM to 1600 (from stock 1500 MHz) but it got too hot and there were some texture glitches in GTA V. Any tips for better OCing?
Whats your card and voltage? (on mobile can't see it) things you can do
Drop memory speed and focus on core first
Your main concern is core, with good vrm cooling you can do 1.3v on air daily just fine. First keep your memory at stock and start bumping core till you get artifacts then back off till you don't. I bump in 25mhz then back in 10mhz till stable. You might consider a better cooler even if you have an AIB cooler. Make sure to get the best heatsink you can on the vrms.
This would be pretty good but you will need to get extra sink for vrms and memory
For the best fit make sure you have a dremel so you can trim the heatsinks that don't come with the kit. Get the biggest heatsink you can fit within reason on the vrms and don't be afraid to push 1.3v, avoided higher unless you do full block waterEdited by Echoa - 7/5/16 at 10:28am
