Help choosing components. - Page 6

I'm currently talking with Stanley (the guy who makes the Beresford DAC) about getting a unit for demo so I can compare to my number cruncher and the zhaolu that I just received in the mail today

Sorry to hijack, but I was wondering how much did it cost for you and how long was it?

Also, is this the best place to have the cables made and what exactly should I ask for?

I haven't heard back. But he quoted me a decent price, but it was still a little more then I wanted to spend so I'm trying to talk him down

Umm... I think mine is about 7' long, it cost roughly $30 which is damn good considering many shorter digital coax cables cost more. bjc uses belden 75ohm cable and canare 75ohm plugs. the only part that isn't 75ohm is the mini plug, but that can't be avoided with the type of digital out that Creative uses. so you just have to make the best of a bad situation. (That's why BNC is vastly superior for digital and video then RCA)

if you want a digital cable then get one from bluejeans cable. if you want an analogue cable then the best place to have cables made is not open yet... but you can PM me and I'll make you a custom cable that will sound just as good as cables costing multiple hundreds of dollars for a fraction of the price

oh, and BTW... Soloz Audio will be opening for business in the not too distant future... Pure 99.99% solid silver IC's I'll also have a 99.99% OFHC copper series
I'll also have speaker cables to start with. Power cables will come shortly after... and now that I have a DAC with balanced output and have some Senn HD580's coming as soon as I have a balanced amp I'll offer balanced headphone re-cables and XLR ICs as well
