7970 Matrix Platinum OC?

Thread Starter
I got a 7970 Matrix Platinum today and I'd like some advice on overclocking.

My ASIC quality is 66.2% and was just wondering what settings in GPU Tweak I should change? I'm not too familiar with ASUS cards and GPU Tweak itself, so any advice would be great. I'm hoping to get 1200 or more on the GPU Clock but anything is a bonus really.

Also, when idle my temps are 41C, fan speed auto at 10%. I'm not sure if this is normal. I have a Phantom 410 case with a 140mm fan intaking air on the side, two 120mm fans intaking at the front, two 120mm fans exhausting out of the top and one 120mm fan exhausting out the back. My PC is on a carpet and I have two monitors plugged in.

Thanks.

I think my ASIC is around that much - and im able to hit 1250mhz core. Im at work so i cant tell you for sure but i think i did

1) Phyiscally hit + button on the card 3 times

GPU Tweak Settings
- Voltage 1265mV
- Power Limit 120% (full)
- LLC 100% (full)

And a semi agressive fan profile - 30% idle, then 50% at 45C, 60% at 55C, 65% at 60C. My Temps dont go above 65C.

Basically try and stay under 1.3v and 75C for core temp.

What does hitting the + button do that adjusting the voltage in the software doesn't or am I misunderstanding?

To be honest i dont know - i think when i first got it i was playing around with it and started doing software config after leaving the "physical" voltage switch near the middle. Readings never went above 1.25v though.

I think it was for "power" users who want to change voltage on the fly...kinda gimmicky probably.
