You probably keep getting lazy people like the one's who work at Walgreen's (if you have those up north hehe) that never really work.

How do you like that tablet? I almost considered it but I got the Lenovo thinkpad tablet 2 for semi-cheap on Amazon (under $560 with 3 year square trade). Even for this old atom it's perfect for me, I can't imagine having a quad core when Bay Trail releases, or even an i5.
Yes they are, sadly Pegatron does a good job at making Asus seem like a crappy company. I do agree, I enjoy there boards now a lot, I used to use EVGA, but after z68 I tried Asrock, then for x79 I tried Asus. I was quite happy with the performance of my p9x79 and Rampage 4, and from the comments of some on here Asus seemed like the only choice for x79.

Most likely, just people who are like "ya, ya, ya, okay I just got an hours pay, bye"

As for the surface pro, debatable. I use it a hell of a lot without a computer but that is probably because I don't have a working computer.

Key points about it:
Very good, high quality, fast ultrabook.
Windows 8 needs a lot of work, specifically with touch and how touch works with the surface pro (resolution/sizing problems), it can also be very frustrating to navigate to certain settings (there are 3 different places for settings, the control panel, the computer settings and the application settings)
You simply cannot use it on your lap as a laptop.
Ability to run simple games like torchlight 2, or dota 2, hell I'm playing red alert right now and having a blast.
Fairly efficient for coding, the type keyboard could use some work (its tough having end and home keys where the are) but when it comes down to building a program I couldn't be happier with the speed.
Annoying ass plugs, you literally can't see them and have to guestimate and hope you get the right spot for the power, or AUX, or usb as they are curved.

All in all it is solid, but I'm not sure getting both an ultrabook + tablet would have been a worse choice, and I think these days there are thinks better than the surface pro.
