CLOSED!! G700S vs ROCAT KONE XTD vs MIONIX NAOS 8200- Feedback wanted.

Ive been through pages and pages of :

1) fanboy opinions rolleyes.gif

2) people that give useful learned facts thumb.gif

3) and others who give their own personal opinions, usually based on their own experiences.

(all of this in the Mouse suggestion thread)

And my conclusion is that there are a few good mice (both laser and optical) from which one can choose.

I wont bother to bore you guys by rehashing whats been said before, asking for info on finger placement, lasers vs optical beams etc etc, cause imo thats boring, and more importantly, i know what the mice listed below offer.

So im asking this:

atm i have a new, boxed Logitech G700s (replacement from Logitech for a faulty G700), and im wondering if either the Rocat Kone XTD or the Mionix Naos 8200 are better for my use,

and if so, which one is better, or should i stick with the G700s (idc about wireless or permanently cabled)

I would prefer replies with facts, or from personal experience please.

I play MMOs such as WOW/STWOR, and the other uses of the mouse are mundane everyday uses.

I palm my mouse, and i have what one would call a large hand (the G700 isnt too big for my hand).

The mouse will be used on a PURETRAK Talent mousepad.

So if anyone out there would care to comment, please do-all replies would be greatly appreciated.

And for those that feel like saying 'google is your friend', i say 'how do you think i arrived at the two alternative choices?'wink.gif

Thanks in advance guys.

All 3 are okay for palm grip, however the G700s is the only wireless.

As you consider to change from wireless to wired it does not seem to be a feature you are focused on.

Why do you consider to spend money in the first place, as you already own the G700s?

My thoughts exactly. If you already have the G700s it's IMO already probably one of the best mouse (If not the best) in the market.

Thank you for your replies guys.

I know that my query may seem strange, i just wanted to get feedback from people like yourselves, as to whether my G700s stood up to the other two mice that i mentioned.

(i didnt refer to the wireless isssue, because i took that for granted-i know the differences, im looking for real world feedback, and opinions, not manufacturers marketing talk)

I have used the g700 for over two yrs, although i have had to RMA it with logitech twice

-the middle scroll button quickly lost its function with regards to left->right movement.

Apart from that it has been a good mouse-logitech RMA has also been A1 for me, so no complaints there.

I just thought that the other two models, might have something better to offer in the sphere of gaming (LED customisation not included), and the idea was to sell the G700s which is brand new and sealed, and get one of the other mice. wink.gif

If other replies go the way of what you guys have said, then, ill just hang onto the G700s.

Again, many thanks thumb.gif

I wouldn't get any of those mice, but if you must have one of those three, then the determining factors for you should be the shape and the weight, and no one but you can know how you'll feel about either, except maybe weight. Lighter is better.

The Naos 8200 isn't really for big hands, this Linus Tech Tips video shows two hand sizes using it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvlExWJmbGA

It's also doesn't live up to the hype as far as its comfort (which isn't surprising maybe because the hype is huge) even for my smaller hands. It did feel nice, but nothing amazing and for that and other reasons (>20% inaccurate CPI settings, color bleed on rear LED) it went back to Amazon. I would stick with the G700s, given that you already have it in hand.

this
1) ability to do wired or wireless is awesome, and you can use any micro USB cable for wired
2) the Dual-mode scroll wheel is the feature I probably use more than any other. I've never had a mouse you can change from free-spinning for large websites (like forums) do tactile when you just want to scroll to the next comment. Simply perfect.

Aside from a few issues i agree that's all that the G500s and G700s has against others. I got one so I know, it's awesome. wink.gif
