i had the same itch. also came from the same chip as you. had the 930 for way longer than i could have imagined. the first gen i7's truly were workhorses and i absolutely loved mine. i opted to go 3930k for my upgrade seeing as another 4 core wouldn't have been that much of an improvement. if i had to choose from 930 or upgrade to 4770k or 3770k, id personally just keep the 930 and maybe buy a titan if they do a price drop.

I wouldn't mind a R9 290X but they will be around 550-700 when they drop. I don't see droping that much into one GPU. Also getting another 670 FTW if I get one because it uses the 680 pcb and I watercool.
