so im trying to overclock amd athlon 630 and i have reached 3.4ghz and its stable with prime95 but when i increase to 3.5 games run well but aftter 1 min with prime95 pc bluescreens. heres the specs:
mobo: msi 760gm e51
cpu athlon II x4 630
ram kingston 4gb ddr3 1066mhz
+ good cooling so heat is not a problem.
bus speed is 250, cpu multi. x14
nb multi: original x10 now x8 = 2000mhz same as original.
ht link same as above
ram multi is 2 = 1000mhz if i put 2.66 = 1333mhz. original is multi 2.66 and 1066mhz. with bus 200.
timings are all auto not changed at all, cool n´ quiet is disabled.
cpu voltage is 1.45v original is 1.4v but still unstable. mad.gif

Do you mean DDR2 ram? or DDR3 running at 1066?

What blue screen code do you get? is it a 0x50?

Also what temps at full load?

Try setting ram timings manually, 5-5-5-18 or even 5-5-5-15 should be good @ 2.1V for DDR2 as you are running them at less than the rated speed with the 2x multi

that is the ram i have its ddr3 not ddr2.
should i have it at 1000mhz or 1330mhz? and what timings? voltages are now stock 1.5v.
when i decrease bus to 243 the system is stable with ram 1290mhz stock timings and volts.
and with 3.4ghz with prime95 under full load temps are ~45C and idle ~25C
all i want is to have a stable system at 3.5ghz cpu speed.
